road rage 路怒症
所谓路怒症，本质上即driving with a bad attitude.
habitual offenders also get into frequent road rage incidences that could be fatal.
lack of patience in heavy traffic
an aggressive driving attitude
tailgating across intersections when traffic lights are out of order（十字路口抢行）
gearing down when slowing down抵挡减速
坏处是energy is wasted, and modern brakes are underutilized.
holding the steering wheel incorrectly, riding, slipping or coasting the clutch, clutching before braking, harsh steering, harsh braking and harsh acceleration are all examples of bad driving habits that can lead tocrashes.
seating position is the foundation of driving.
how many bad incidents would be prevented if we all adhered to posted speed limits?
parking in illegal areas违章停车
accelerating through yellow lights闯黄灯
not checking blind spots无视盲点
how many times have you been on a freeway onramp（高速上匝道）and found yourself behind someone who doesn’t understand how to merge? they let car after car zoom （快速通过）past them, thinking they’re being polite, when really, they’re holding up the flow of traffic.
（相信我们都遇到过这种let car after car zoom past them的人，慢悠悠堵在你前面，无语。）
not using turn signals不打转向灯
cutting other cars off 从两车间插过（超车）
when you’re in a hurry, you often wish that the roads were completely clear so that you could zoom right through. but this is seldom the case, and weaving between lanes without regard for others is downright hazardous（“作死的节奏”）.
after all, tailgating can lead to car accidents and it can lead to intentional vindictive actions, like brake checking. if you want to go faster, pass the car ahead of you in another lane if it is safe to do so, but keep a safe distance if it is not. remember the two-second rule!
while driving, hitting your brakes really hard to scare the crap out of the jerkdriving two inches from your rear bumper.
注：scare the crap out of the jerk是个俚语，意思是“把那个混蛋吓出屎来！”
inadequate following distance is the direct cause of 30% of south africa's crashes and is indirectly implicated in another 10%.
resting the arm on the window sill胳膊搭在打开的车窗上
the body is not in the ideal position to engage with the steering wheel in an emergency.
slouching behind the wheel
have complete/maximum control over the vehicle最大化操控车辆
have a full view of the roadway视野开阔
这时候最好是去take a rest stop.
这才是真的“老司机”定义：a smooth, safe and overall competent driver
dwi：毒驾（driving while intoxicated）。
the designated driver：代驾
chinese traffic police have handled more than 17 million cases involving road ragelike arbitrary lane changes and dangerous overtaking this year.
drives in the emergency lane占用应急车道
overtakes on a barrier line禁行线超车
so too are people who have a propensity for taking risks: adriver who habitually runs a red light, drives in the emergency lane or overtakes on a barrier line is a crash waiting to happen.
running a red light / stop sign：闯红灯/无视stop标志
另一个说法叫rolling through stop streets。
most of the everyday bad driving habits arise from disobeying the law. examples of such lawlessness (illegal driving in one way or another)include rolling through stop streets, not stopping at traffic lights and speeding.
right hand turn 右转标志
many are not regarded as “illegal” but could contribute tocrashes. examples would include the act of not completely stopping at a stop sign or a right hand turn, but rather 'rolling' through it by slowing down some.
